Pricey...but the water tastes so much better that when I drink from the tap I almost feel sick to my stomach from the chlorine taste and after taste from tap water vs the everpure system I have. Wish I could have the whole house on it. I'm sure it would be better on the pipes too.

Excellent, great price for an Everpure H-300 water filter. I needed a replacement filter; it was so easy to order it on Amazon and have it shipped to my house. I tried using generic filters to save money and it just wasn't the same. Love the Everpure brand.

Great filter system, water tastes clean with no weird added tastes. Filters out chlorine well since i live in an area with very hard water (can smell chlorine in the tap water, but not after filtering). Lasts approximately 6 months or so for me before it becomes too slow which usually indicates it is time to change. I use it very frequently, will last others longer if less use.

I have used this model filter for about 10 years. I tried a generic & smaller filter for my last replacement which was about half the price (and size) as the Everpure. The water from the generic filter did not taste as good as the Everpure and it did not deliver the same volume of drinking water as the Everpure. Now that I have switched back, I am much more satisfied with the taste of my drinking water and brewed coffee as well. A good value for the cost.

I've been using the EverPure H-300 filter for three years now, and I am on my fourth filter. I have it mounted under my kitchen sink, where it dispenses from its own faucet. It's a large filter, so I had to make sure the cabinet under the sink was set up properly to accommodate it. Once the system was all set up, it was great. The filter itself is easy to change. I just twist the old one off and twist the new one on. It takes me about five minutes, and that's only because I have to get awkwardly inside my under-sink cabinet. To give you an idea of how long the filter lasts, my family of five uses the filtered water for drinking and cooking, but not for things like washing dishes. Given that amount of usage, each filter has lasted 10-11 months. It comes with a timer to indicate when the filter should be replaced, but I've been ignoring that. I wait until the water pressure starts to get lower, and then I replace it. As far as what it filters out, this is a good choice compared to Brita or other pitcher type filters. As others have mentioned, it does reduce the amount of lead in the water. If you really want to get everything out of your water, you need to get something like a reverse osmosis system. That can be expensive and has its own downsides, so I haven't gone that route.

Item were as advertised. Individually packaged which was helpful since I ordered 2. The one I installed fit and worked perfectly.

I found that Everpure was the commercial name for Culligan's consumer line.....at a much lower price. Don't know if that is still true. Those who have had trouble should learn that it is not supposed to be a whole house filter, just for a separate drinking water tap, and the supply to the house should have a sediment filter to remove any fine particles for the whole house. That will keep the everpure from plugging too soon, and also keep every faucet screen from plugging with sand. Every skeptic who has said that our county water is just fine without a filter has been given a taste test. I always give them the filtered water first, and they say, "sure, I told you our water is fine." Then I give them the tap water and they make a sour face...hah! Our tap water is pretty good, but the filtered is MUCH cleaner tasting. Get some stainless water bottles, fill them from this filter, and stop wasting money on those ridiculously expensive plastic bottles of alleged pure water. They are supposed to filter 300 gallons, but I use mine for all drinking, cooking, and piped it to the ice maker as well for clean tasting cubes. I only replace the filter when the flow is significantly reduced, and that can take a couple of years. This is an excellent value, and I believe there are no better filters on the market. It takes a little work to make a permanent under sink installation, but once in place you will wonder how you ever did without it.

The filter provides a noticeable improvement over the tap water in our area. They recommend changing it yearly based on normal usage. We drink and cook with it, and the cartridge lasts longer for us. I think there's been only one occasion (in the 14 years we've had filtration) where the water actually started to taste funny and we knew it was time for a new cartridge. Otherwise, I change it every 18-24 mos just to avoid getting funny water again.

You put it in and run the water for a while and you have great water again. We put in the system and no more odors or bad taste.

We have been using this water purification system for over 20 years in two different residences. We have always used the Everpure- h-300 water Filter Replacement. We have never had a problem with the filter or the system. It came on time and only took 2 minutes to install. We are very satisfied customers. Doug Armstrong
